Re-Lid
A reusable lid that fits any sized cup for sustainable drinking on the go.
Everyday, I see hundreds of single-use coffee cups polluting the streets. They are not only visually polluting the landscape, but also harmful to the environment.
After some deeper investigation, I found that the cardboard cup part of a take away coffee can be recycled, but the plastic lids could not. This is the biggest problem as billions of plastic lids are sent straight to growing landfills that produce greenhouse gases and toxins.
The sipping valve on the Re-Lid will only allow liquid to flow out when pressure is applied, meaning no accidental spillage.
Using advanced manufacturing techniques, the Re-Lid was 3D printed using an experimental filament called Ninja Flex in 2018.
