About
Design is a practice of refinement, observation, distillation, and shaping the everyday into something more meaningful. With a background spanning product development, packaging, and buying, the work often sits at the intersection of concept and execution, guiding ideas from initial sketches to final products and analyising its lifecycle projecting beyond.
Currently based in Australia, I work with CL&L in Sydney and Fukusada Studio in Kyoto. A project I led in collaboration with Fukusada Studio and Shogado received the Kyoto Design Award in 2020, reflecting a shared commitment to craftsmanship, narrative, and material integrity. Years spent working across Japan, China, India, Vietnam, Thailand, and Australia have helped shape a holistic approach, one that considers not only form and function, but how products are made, experienced, and sustained.
Creativity often happens quietly: through curating materials, setting the tone for a range, or bringing together the right collaborators to realise a vision. Whether developing collections, refining brand language, or sourcing across continents, the focus remains the same - to create with purpose, coherence, and care.
Time outside of work is spent dabbling in pottery, repairing ceramics with kintsugi, or experimenting in the kitchen. These slower pursuits inform a design philosophy rooted in tactility, restraint, and lasting impact.
